A barber who was involved in a fistfight found himself in bigger trouble after an unlicensed gun was seized from his possession.

Police identified the suspect as Bengie Escoltero, 31, a resident of Barangay Nasunugan, Dao, Capiz.

Prior to his arrest, the suspect traded punches with Ronald Daradar Lopez outside the covered gym of Barangay Guintas, Sigma town around 2:30 a.m. on January 15.

A community dance was ongoing inside the gym when the incident happened.

Barangay tanods (village watchmen) eventually pacified the duo.

The suspect was eventually turned over to police authorities.

Escoltero will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
