Bacolod logs 14 dengue deaths in 2022

BACOLOD City – The City Health Office here reported a total of 1,020 dengue cases with 14 deaths in 2022, based on a report from the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) released on Thursday, Jan. 19.

This figure is 189.8 percent higher than the cases in 2021, which is 352 with three deaths, according to Dr. Grace Tan, CESU head.

The age range of affected is 1 month to 86 years old, while the age group with the most number of cases is ranging from one to 10 years old.

Barangay Mansilingan topped the list with the most number of dengue deaths at three followed by Barangays Granada, Tangub, and Taculing with two deaths each, and Barangays Singcang, Pahanocoy, Sum-ag, 12, and 8 with one death each.

Barangays with the highest number of dengue cases are Mansilingan with 122; Taculing, 84; Estefania, 70; Tangub, 69; Singcang-Airport, 63; Villamonte, 62; Alijis, 54; Mandalagan, 51; Cabug, 49; and Sum-ag, 46.
