Mayor Jerry Treñas said that there is a consistent drop of cases in the metro. Aside from this, the number of persons subjecting themselves to COVID-19 test in the Uswag Laboratory is also decreasing.

“Nagnubo na gid aton cases. We are actually down to 34 active cases. Ang aton nga testing nagnubo naman. Ang mga nagapatest na lang is ang mga nagakinahanglan sang swab test sa ila trabaho,” he said in a media interview.

Despite the consistent drop of cases, the mayor reminded the public to have themselves vaccinated with COVID-19 booster shots.

The mayor said the turn-out for COVID-19 booster shots in the metro is dropping and is currently at 36%.

“Although nga taas na aton accomplishment sa aton nga first two doses, manubo pa sa gihapon ang aton nga booster shots. Ara pa lang kita sa 36% so malayo layo pa kita that is why ginakampanyahan ta gid ang pagtublok sa sining booster shots,” he said. (DG)
