The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region 6 will release educational cash aid to 9,734 beneficiaries today, Sept 10, 2022.

Atty. May Rago-Castillo, DSWD-6 regional director, said the agency will disburse around P29 million for the fourth Saturday payout.

“For those who already received a text message or email confirming their schedule of assessment, please go to the specified venue,” she said.

Again, Castillo stressed that walk-in clients, even those who have already registered online but haven’t received any confirmation message, should not go to the venue.

“They won’t be assessed and given payout. I hope they would understand that we have to only cater to those who have secured a schedule for the September 10 payout,” she said.

From last week’s 30 payout venues, the Sept 10 schedule has identified 23 satellite sites.

Eight payout sites are in Iloilo province; seven in Negros Occidental; two in Capiz; three in Antique; and one each in Aklan, Guimaras, Iloilo City, and Bacolod City.

In Iloilo, the payout venues are in:

* Lone district (507 clients) – Barangay Zamora-Melliza Gym, Iloilo City;

* First district (404clients) – Guimbal covered gym;

* Second district (56) – Alimodian gym;

* Second district (67) – Leon covered gym;

* Third district (395) – Brgy. Sibacungan gym in Lambunao;

* Fourth district (294) – Brgy. Man-it Gym, Passi City;

* Fifth district (104) – Evacuation center in Poblacion, Barotac Viejo;

* Fifth district (392) – Auditorium, Concepcion; and

* Fifth district (404) – Balantian Covered Gym, Balasan.

There would be two more Saturdays remaining for beneficiaries to avail of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Educational Assistance.

Up to three students per family can receive cash aid under the agency’s AICS program.

A P1,000 cash aid will be given for elementary students, P2,000 for high school, P3,000 for senior high school, and P4,000 for a tertiary student enrolled in a college or technical-vocational school.
