82 curfew violators nabbed while jogging

BACOLOD City – 82 individuals were caught for violating the curfew hours in Isabela, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.

Police Captain Joseph Partidas, town police chief, said that 70 minors and 10 adults were sighted by their mobile patrol jogging on four main roads in the town around 5 a.m.

These individuals underwent counseling to explain to them the protocols under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ), he added.

Partidas said that the 10 adults belonged to the high-risk group of persons who are vulnerable to illness, is prohibited from leaving their houses.

He said that these individuals were not wearing face masks and were not observing social distancing.

He said that the violators alleged that they were unaware about the protocol.

They were all sent home while some were sanctioned to do community service, he added.

He said that persons 21 and below as well as those 60 and above are not allowed to go out of their houses amid the GCQ.

He said they have intensified their coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) measures by conducting morning mobile patrol in places of convergence and main roads.
