7th National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning invites Education Practitioners

Throughout the pandemic, schools and universities in the country have transitioned to distance education and technology-enhanced learning.

While many institutions were open to the new direction in education, several schools had to implement it with barely enough arsenal at their disposal.

Nonetheless, the two years have gone by and teachers see themselves now with many lessons learned and more experience to share.

This is what the National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning (NCODeL) would like to hear.

Now on its 7th biennial conference, the NCODeL 2022 aims to provide a space for educational institutions to discuss and reimagine their future amid shifting educational and socioeconomic landscapes. It will foster sharing of ideas, experiences, and best practices in blended, online, open, and distance learning to realize the vision of relevant education for all.

NCODeL2022, will be held virtually on 23-25 November 2022.  The event carries the theme “Reimagining Education Futures.” It is open to all faculty, administrators, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners in the Philippines to learn from each other.

Conference Grants to cover the registration fee are available for selected qualified Filipino participants from SUCs, HEIs, and TVIs.

NCODeL2022 will also present the ODeL Best Paper Award 2022 and ODeL Best Practice Award 2022 to deserving participants.

The ODeL Best Paper Award recognizes individuals for innovative research studies on open and distance e-learning.

The ODeL Best Practice Award, on the other hand, recognizes individuals or institutions for their innovative and effective implementation of the principles and practices of open learning, distance education, e-learning, and technology-mediated learning that deliver exemplary teaching-learning performance improvement.

The awards will be bestowed to the top one of the competing papers and be presented at NCODeL2022.

NCODeL 2022 is spearheaded by the UP Open University (UPOU), the Philippine Society for Distance Learning (PSDL), and the UPOU Foundation, Inc. (UPOUFI).

Partner universities for this national conference include the members of the Consortium of Open Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (CODEPP) which are Benguet State University (BSU), Cavite State University (CvSU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), Ifugao State University (IFSU), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), and John B.
