677 EB Magalona TUPAD beneficiaries get PPEs

BACOLOD City – A total of 677 residents of E. B. Magalona, Negros Occidental who are beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE)-Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) received their PPEs (personal protective equipment) during an orientation at the Public Plaza on Sept. 16, which was also the start of their 10-day work.

Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager Jessilyn Plaza said the beneficiaries shall conduct cleanup drive in their respective barangays for four hours a day for 10 days, with a rate of P450 per day or P4,500 for 10 days.

This batch’s TUPAD fund was facilitated by 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez.

Mayor Marvin Malacon told the beneficiaries, “Ang aton gobyerno wala gid gapabaya. Ang TUPAD assistance isa lang ka temporary nga solusyon sa aton problema. Gamiton naton ini sang insakto nga makabulig sa aton panimalay.”

Plaza said the beneficiaries start their work on Sept. 16 wearing their DOLE TUPAD PPEs, comprised of long sleeves shirt, buri hat, and face masks.

Assisting in the distribution of PPEs were Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, Consultants Ramie Babac, Eduardo Poniado, Andronico Dequina, Mario Bolivar, and Willie Gervacio, and Private Secretary Joel Antonio. (PIO)
