5 Things to Look Forward to in DECODE 2020

The country’s premier cybersecurity event DECODE is happening on November 10-12 and Is expected to gather around 3,000 IT professionals and industry leaders from around the country.

DECODE carries the goal of sharing up-to-date information about cybersecurity and new technologies to empower organizations and individuals to secure their digital infrastructures. This annual conference is organized by Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity.

Here are five things to look forward to in this year’s DECODE:

    1. International speakers

DECODE 2020 features a lineup of over 40 industry leaders from around the world. Among the speakers are six experts who will give keynotes during the three-day conference, namely Melissa Hathaway who served as cybersecurity adviser to two US Presidents, Philip Casanova of SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co, Craig Jones of INTERPOL, and Myla Pilao, Martin Roesler, and Robert McArdle of Trend Micro.

    1. Virtual setup

Because of the pandemic, this year’s DECODE is going virtual. The annual event is usually held in Manila, but with the virtual setup, the conference is now opening its doors to registrants in Visayas and Mindanao.

  1. Over 40 sessions and talks

With over 40 sessions slated, participants will learn about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Protection and Privacy, Cybercrime and Incident Response, and more during the three-day conference.

  1. Special track for women and students

Recognizing the contribution of women in the tech industry, Trend Micro will be having a side track for women in tech dubbed Get IT Girl scheduled on the first and third day. Another special track for students is scheduled on the second day.
