ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 48 rebel surrenderers in the province of Capiz underwent Psychosocial Debriefing and Orientation last February 10, 2023 at the Civic Center of Cuartero, Capiz.
The debriefing is mandated by Executive Order No. 70 (Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in Attaining Inclusive and Sustainable Peace, Creating a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, and Directing the Adoption of a. National Peace Framework) issued by former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte on Dec 4, 2018.
The former rebels included 29 from Cuartero, 15 from Tapaz, 3 from Jamindan, and one from Dumarao.
The former rebels also received cash assistance, food packs and vegetable seedlings from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Capiz.
The activity was conducted by the 12th Infantry (Lick ‘Em) Battalion with the support of PSWDO Capiz, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency VI, 602nd Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWDO) of Tapaz and Cuartero Municipal Police Stations.
