45,494 Bacolodnons inoculated vs COVID

BACOLOD City – A total of 45, 494 Bacolodnons were inoculated against the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID -19 as of Thursday.

The Bacolod Emergency Operations Center Task Force reported that 35,835 persons received their first dose while 9,659 got their second dose.

The administered vaccines included 21,232 AstraZeneca doses and 24,262 Sinovac jabs.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia on Thursday supervised the vaccination flow in Barangay Singcang-Airport.

The mayor was assisted by Singcang-Airport Punong Barangay Rosinie Distrito and other barangay officials.

The Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) and the COVID-19 Vaccination Council (CoVaC), continue to administer the first and second doses of vaccines to Bacolodnons under priority groups A1 (frontline healthcare workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (adults with comorbidities).

Singcang-Airport is part of the vaccine rollout in 26 vaccination centers in selected barangays and clustered barangays that are operating on June 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, and 23.

Other vaccination centers that opened were Barangays 8, 39, Alijis, Bata, Punta Taytay, Sum-ag, Villamonte, Vista Alegre, and Taculing.

The vaccines being rolled out this week are part of the 17,000 additional doses of Sinovac vaccines from the national government.

The vaccine rollout is supervised by City Administrator Em Ang, executive director of EOC and coordinator of CoVaC; and OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr.; with the assistance of vaccination doctors and barangay officials.
