BACOLOD City – Buy-bust operations here and some parts of Negros Occidental resulted in the confiscation of an estimated P593,300 worth of illegal drugs from May 23, 24, and 26, 2019.

Last week in Bacolod City, Paul Andrew Rosales, 27, of Barangay Mansilingan, a street level target, was arrested at the said village on May 23 after he allegedly yielded two sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000, and the P500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 7.

The following day, Chuckie Dave Joaquin, 31, of Barangay Villamonte, this city was arrested at Barangay Tangub, after police seized from him five sachets of suspected shabu worth P165,000, and the P500 marked money. He is jailed at Police Station 8.

Also arrested at Barangay 3, this city that day were Aironel Leyson, 24, of Barangay 3; and Demmy Rubaton, 35, of Barangay 35.

Police recovered from the duo five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 13 grams worth P162,500, an improvised tooter, and the P500 marked money. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 3.

Personnel of Police Station 4 also collared Joey Roberts, 37, of Barangay 27 last Thursday, for alleged confiscation of 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 5.32 grams and worth P63,800, an improvised tooter, and the P500 marked money.

An alleged high value target and a drug surrenderee was also nabbed on the same day at Barangay 12, after he was caught for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police identified the suspect as Gomer Beloya, 41, of the said village.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, head of Police Station 1, said they recovered from Beloya 15 sachets of suspected shabu worth P60,000, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Over the weekend, Joelemar Tornea, James Gan, and Alcaizar Lascano were arrested at Barangay Sum-ag on May 26.

Recovered from them were 10 sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000, the P300 marked money, drug parpahernalia, two ice picks, and a hand grenade replica. All three suspects are now detained at Police Station 9.

In a separate operation, personnel of Police Station 9 also arrested Sanny Boy at Barangay Punta Taytay last Sunday.

Police seized from him six sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

A drug raid in the neighboring city of Silay also led to the apprehension of Muriel Mamabatac, 45, of Barangay Rizal; and Jade Biaco, 27, of Jaro, Iloilo on May 24. Both are listed as suspected drug personalities in the city.

Police recovered from them nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams worth P75,000, the P3,000 boodle or fake money, including the P500 marked money, and P300 cash.

In Cadiz City, Ernesto Esclares, 48, of Barangay Zone 6 was nabbed on May 23, after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, two sachets of suspected marijuana worth P500, and the P500 marked money. He is a government employee.

In Victorias City, Walter Doblar, 31, of Barangay 7 was arrested at the said village last Thursday, after police confiscated from him five sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, the P400 marked money, and P200 in cash.

In Sagay City, Rommel Encabo, 49, of Barangay Paraiso was also arrested that day, for alleged possession of six sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, and the P500 marked money.

Also arrested in the said village on the same day was 51-year-old Ramonito Dela Rosa.

Police seized from him a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500, and the P500 marked money.
