100 child cancer patients get Christmas gifts

A total of 100 child cancer patients were delighted upon receiving their early Christmas gifts from Faces Foundation during a gift-giving activity at Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Dec. 8.

The activity organized by the said non-government organization was led by Dr. Adonis Guancia.

Faces Foundation, which means Forum Against Cancer through Encouragement and Support, was established in 1996. It envisions a caring community that commits to working together in the fight against cancer and providing support to cancer-afflicted individuals to live a life of dignity by nurturing hope, self-worth, and faith in divine providence.

According to Guancia, it is their annual activity with the support of pharmaceutical companies and stakeholders involved in cancer management in Bacolod City.

Dominique ‘Nikki’ Benitez, wife of Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo ‘Albee’ Benitez, also supported the said activity. The children received toys and were entertained by a mascot. (Contributed Photos)
