10 PRO-6 personnel hailed for exemplary performances

Ten uniformed personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 on April 4, 2022 received awards for their exemplary and noteworthy performances

The awarding was held during the flag raising ceremony at the PRO-6 Grandstand in Camp Gen Martin Teofilo Delgado, Iloilo City.

The PNP Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan) was awarded to Police Colonel Algen A. Taba and Police Chief Master Sergeant Lema S. Salasani of the Regional Engineering Unit 6 for the successful titling of a donated lot intended for Lezo Municipal Police Station province of Aklan.

The PNP Commendation Medal (Medalya ng Papuri) was presented to Police Captain Narciso V. Sables Jr and Staff Sergeant Michael Guancing of Antique Police Provincial Office; and Police Lieutenant Jersey A. Besas and Police Corporal Erec P. Boriba of Iloilo Police Provincial Office for the successful arrests of wanted persons.

The PNP Merit Medal (Medalya ng Kagalingan) was bestowed to Police Captain Marvin S. Buenavista and Police Master Sergeant Ronnie M. Digcabo-on for the successful conduct of buy-bust operation that resulted in the recovery of 95.2 grams of dried marijuana at Barangay Bolho, Miaga-ao, Iloilo on June 12, 2021.

The same medal was also awarded to Lieutenant Colonel Jonel V. Guadalupe and Staff Sergeant Jolly A Acosta for the successful buy-bust operation that led to the recovery of 49.421 grams weight of suspected shabu at Iglesia St., Brgy 2 Poblacion , La Carlota, Negros Occidental.

Engineer Tiburcio DL Canlas, Regional Director of the Department of Public Works and Highways ()-6 was the guest of honor and speaker.

In his message, Director Canlas congratulated the awardees for a job well done and for being role models to young Filipinos. He likewise, appreciated the PRO6 for tirelessly serving and protecting the people of Western Visayas.

“We in DPWH-6 will continue to support the PNP programs and will provide an essential infrastructure that can help boost your effectiveness and productivity.” Canlas added.

The occasion was attended by Police Brigadier General Archival D Macala, PRO-6 Deputy Regional Director for Administration; the Command Group, Regional and Special Staff, Chiefs of the National Support Units and PRO-6 personnel.
