10 arrested for P141,900 worth of ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Ten persons were arrested while P141,900 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in four separate buy-bust operations here and in three cities in Negros Occidental in the past three days.

In Silay City, Stephen Gamboa, 40, and Roy Flores, 45, both of Barangay 1; and Ronald Labrador, 26, of Barangay Patag were arrested at Barangay 1 last Monday.

Police recovered from the trio 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing nine grams and valued at P61,200, three improvised tooters, a pair of scissors, P180, the P500 marked money, and P3,500 “boodle” or fake money.

Also arrested that day at Barangay Daga, Cadiz City were Geneser Embile, 36; Grace Dela Rosa, 37; Mark Villanueva, 25; and Reymar Quiatchon, 20, after police seized from them 20 sachets of suspected shabu worth P27,200, the P3,000 marked money, and an improvised tooter.

Rodolph Guillermo was arrested also on the same day at Barangay Taculing here for alleged possession of 11 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P46,700. He is detained at Police Station 6.

In Himamaylan City, Ronnie Tejada Jr., 40, of Barangay Nabali-an, and Alpie Espares, 38, of Barangay Aguisan were collared at Barangay Aguisan Tuesday.

Authorities confiscated from them 13 sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,800, and the P500 marked money.

All 10 suspects will be facing drug charges.
